Dixon ASP-4BV Nickel Plated Steel Air Hose Fitting, Breather Vent, 1/2" NPT Male, 7/8" Length

This Dixon ASP series breather vent is made of nickel-plated steel, has a bronze filter element, and a male NPT threaded connection to filter air that is entering cylinders or valves. This fitting has a male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded end to connect with female NPT threaded connections for a tighter seal than straight threads. Its maximum working pressure is 150 pounds per square inch (psi) (10.20 bar) in a temperature range of 35 to 300 degrees F (1.67 to 148.89 degrees C), and the bronze filter element is rated to 40 microns. This fitting is made of steel for better weldability and increased rust resistance than wrought iron and the nickel plating is corrosion resistant, ferromagnetic, maintains much of its strength at high temperatures, and stays tough and ductile at low temperatures. This breather vent is used for vacuum relief or pressure equalization on gear boxes, oil tanks, or reservoirs and prevents dirt or foreign particles from entering ports of single acting cylinders or valves that are open to the atmosphere.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems.
